ROSA NETWORK
History of the Residential Outdoor Schools Association
In 2001, the ROSA network membership included three DET Residential Schools: Bogong Outdoor Education Centre, Rubicon Outdoor Centre and Somers School Camp.
Since the formation of the ROSA Network, it has expanded to four schools and seven campuses:
- Blackwood Outdoor Specialist School
- Outdoor School (Formerly Bogong Outdoor Education Centre)
- 15 Mile Creek
- Bogong
- Rubicon Outdoor Centre
- Thornton
- Nayook
- Somers School Camp
- Somers
- Woorabinda
Vision
The vision of the ROSA Network is that:
All state school students participate in quality, residential outdoor learning programs.
Strategic Directions
To achieve the Vision, the ROSA network have developed four strategic directions:
Strategic Direction 1: Quality
- Deliver high quality outdoor learning programs
Strategic Direction 2: Promotion
- Promote the benefits of outdoor learning
Strategic Direction 3: Sharing
- Share knowledge and develop resources
Strategic Direction 4: Collaboration
- Collaborate with Government and DET on policy and direction
